After seven years of playing in various bands, JULIA GAETA presents her debut single Weight of You, inspired by late nights spent gazing out into the sprawling metropolis of Paris. Watch the video here.
Hailing from California, Julia moved there from Berlin right before the Covid lockdowns. For this single – a rich palette of urban grime, dreamy neon and film noir cityscapes – Gaeta worked with renowned French synthwave artist JAMES “PERTURBATOR” KENT, who mixed, mastered and produced it. Award-winning filmmaker DAVID FITT directed and produced this hazy video, filmed in Paris’ seedy Pigalle neighbourhood of Paris, an homage to David Lynch and Paris’ grit and beauty.
