The Lines Release New Single “The Worst”

Unapologetically Scottish alt-indie sensation The Lines have just released their fiery new single, “The Worst”.

About The Lines

The Lines are a post-Brexit, alt-indie band who write music for those who don’t, nor want to improve themselves, and flirt with unresolved expectations. Their sound blends rhythmic beats, funk, and traditional rock solos, creating a unique and energetic vibe. With their passion, driving rhythms, melodic chords, and unique energy, The Lines are certain to pull any fan to the front of the barrier during their live performances.

Their debut EP Visit, released last month, features singles like “Lips,” “Ephitet,” “Pete The Punter,” “Long Lie,” and “Just See Grey.” These releases have been influential in building a platform for the band, receiving favorable feedback and reaching a global radio audience with rising airplay and streaming numbers. This success has put The Lines on the map, with support from Triple G Music and Scruff of the Neck on the live circuit.

Following their first sold-out show at the Garage Attic in Glasgow last year, The Lines were invited to play the Garage main hall supporting Hard-Fi, raising the venue roof and making new fans along the way. They followed this up as main support for The Bracknall at a sold-out Slay in Glasgow, their biggest show to date!

Upcoming Showcase

Their name is on the radar as one of the freshest and most exciting young bands on the scene. They have just announced a hometown showcase on May 23rd at the Hug and Pint in Glasgow, where they will be performing brand new material alongside their debut EP to both fans and industry professionals. Tickets are available here.

About “The Worst”

“The Worst” will be released on April 18, 2025, at 00:00 GMT across all streaming platforms.

“The Worst” is described as “the soundtrack for dancing on graves. The worst is a love song to the terrible. A fiery, punk-driven poem, dedicated to the worst person you know. With jangly guitars that weave around a pounding bassline, the worst is guaranteed to lift you and your nemesis off their feet, dragging you to the center of the dance floor by the scruff of your neck.” – The Lines
