Brit modern metalcorers, MILES FROM HOME, are set to make their mark with the release of their stunning new single and video, Escape, out now. Watch the video here.

With a sound that draws from cutting edge contemporary metalcore, MILES FROM HOME dispatch full throttle riffery, thoughtful arrangements and a barrage of contagious hooks, that will surely earn them national recognition. The studious combo are poised and ready to stake their claim as one of the new breed of bands to break out in 2022.

Consisting of Matt Herbert (Vocals), Owen Doherty (Lead Guitar), Ethan Simons (Drums), TJ Norman (Rhythm Guitar) and Ethan Edwards (Bass), MILES FROM HOME hail from South Wales and are prepared to pick up the mantle and follow in the footsteps of Bridgend’s abundance of talent, notably Bullet For My Valentine, Funeral For A Friend, and Those Damn Crows. With strong roots and ties to the region, MILES FROM HOME’S current album, Damned by Disease, was recorded, mixed and mastered by Michael Paget from Bullet From My Valentine.

Now, with the release of their incoming new single, Escape, the band are truly ready to shine. Matt Herbert (Vocalist) discusses the background to the song: “We recorded ‘Escape’ with Dan Barnes from ‘Lucky Fox Studios’. The song and music video are based on anxiety. It mainly centres around the feeling of being trapped and unable to escape when experiencing severe anxiety, becoming an introvert and dealing with anxiety in the wrong way.” Musically, the track is an explosive slab of metalcore marinated with colossal riffs, an ear-splitting breakdown, and served with a sincere and impassioned delivery. The single is a real maker and proof that MILES FROM HOME are sure to be a prominent force in the UK scene for many years to come.
