Hotly tipped alternative rock artist, BLUE NICOTINE, has revealed an anthemic new single and video for the track. Check it out here.
Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland, BLUE NICOTINE is an alias created by multi-instrumentalist Aidan Kelly who started the alt-rock project in 2019. Backed by a live band, and already buoyed by a string of successful shows throughout Scotland, the build is certainly on for BLUE NICOTINE. Armed with a raft of influences ranging from Rock Gods such as Guns ‘N’ Roses, Foo Fighters, and Gary Moore, through to contemporary icons like The 1975 and Biffy Clyro, BLUE NICOTINE have a shrewd knack for despatching anthemic ear worms that linger and deliver.
“80’s Rock with a contemporary anthemic twist”
With a budding live following and the recent launch of a clutch of successful singles, BLUE NICOTINE kick on with the release of their highly striking new single, 1982. Venting a barrage of melodic guitars, layered vocal harmonies, and a stout backbone, the single is an ideal showcase piece for BLUE NICOTINE. Aidan Kelly remarks about the song: “1982 mixes 80’s Rock with a contemporary anthemic twist. The guitar tones are both sweet and powerful with a large sing-a-long chorus filled out with potent bass and drum lines. The song is a thank you to my parents for their encouraging support whilst looking into the future with positivity.”
With a series of live dates in the works for 2022, and a debut EP on the way, BLUE NICOTINE have all the raw materials to break out to a national level.
