BENEATH THE EMBERS UNVEIL MONSTROUS VIDEO

Pitching edgy metalcore against rampant thrash, Brit heavyweight crew BENEATH THE EMBERS have put down a definitive marker with their brand-new album, Condemned, out now everywhere via Metal Massacre Records. The Essex riff merchants have also just delivered a ferocious new video for the track, Set Me Free.

Born in 2016, and hailing from Colchester, England, BENEATH THE EMBERS started life when singer/songwriter Lewis Roland met lead guitarist Clint Bredin, and they instantly connected on the heavier elements of metal. The band wasted no time and were soon signed to independent record label, Metal Massacre Records, and began work on their debut EP. Lewis states: “It was pretty early on when everything clicked, and we knew we were really onto something.”

The wide-ranging influences from each member have bonded together to create a dynamic force. Clint’s ferocious Maiden/Metallica-esque riffery is aptly framed by the raw power and groove of the band’s exceptionally tight rhythm section with Q (Quentin Radburn) on rhythm guitar and Liam Gloster on bass. Spencer Churchill drives the band’s pacy groove on drums. BENEATH THE EMBERS are illuminated perfectly by Lewis’ deft ability to unleash brutal verses and hooky choruses.

The ascending metallers dispatched their debut EP, Ashes, in 2017, and backed the release with a glut of headline tours. The record helped to place the band on the map whilst cultivating a dedicated following for the UK riff slingers. With live work shelved for 2020 and beyond, the quintet set to work on their debut album, Condemned. Clint Bredin comments about the release:

“‘Condemned’ has been in the making for a while but having come so far from our last EP, Ashes, we really needed this release to reflect where we are musically. We recruited the skills of producer Chris Clancey to ensure we hit a very high standard from the get-go. ‘Condemned’ is our “line in the sand” and musical statement of what BTE are all about”.

The band’s debut album is destined to take BENEATH THE EMBERS to a higher plain.  The metal crew plan to kick on with a full assault in 2023, starting with a UK and Paris tour supporting TARJA. Big things lay ahead.

BENEATH THE EMBERS support Tarja on her forthcoming UK tour: Feb 1st, Glasgow – Garage; 2nd, Wolverhampton – KK’s Steel Mill; 4th – Manchester – Academy 2; London – Electric Ballroom; 6th, Paris – La Cigale.
